Based on Tim Burton's beloved film, Beetlejuice the Musical is the wildly irreverent, darkly comic and outrageously fun Broadway hit that has taken the world by storm. Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager, discovers the recently deceased Maitlands trapped in her new home — and unleashes the ghost with the most.
The show plays at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC from 7 June 2026. With dazzling stagecraft, showstopping songs and a cast of seriously strange characters, it's one of the most talked-about musicals of the year — and the perfect reason to make a night of it at South Bank.
The Lyric Theatre, QPAC has strict lockout — once the show starts, latecomers may not be admitted until an interval. Don't cut it close. Here's how to plan:

The right pre-show meal is satisfying without being heavy — you want to enjoy the performance, not be digesting through act two. Here's what works well at Sage Yellowfin before a show:
For the non-seafood person at the table: the eye fillet steak is consistently our best executed meat dish. Arrive at 6pm, order by 6:15, and you're walking to QPAC by 7:45 with time to find your seat.
Sage Yellowfin on Little Stanley Street is 160 metres from the QPAC Lyric Theatre — a 2-minute flat walk. We specialise in pre-show dining and time your service around your curtain call. Book by 6pm for 8pm performances.
Book for 6:00pm for an 8:00pm show — this gives you two comfortable courses and a drink, with time to walk to QPAC. For three courses, arrive at 5:30pm. Always mention your show time when booking so we can pace service accordingly.
Sage Yellowfin is at 24/164 Little Stanley Street, South Bank — approximately 160 metres from the QPAC Lyric Theatre entrance. It is a flat, well-lit 2-minute walk. We'll point you in the right direction when you leave.
Yes — Beetlejuice the Musical has high demand every weekend. We strongly recommend booking your dinner table at least 2-3 days in advance for Friday and Saturday performances. Same-day bookings may be available by phone or WhatsApp but can't be guaranteed.
Yes — Beetlejuice the Musical is recommended for ages 8 and above. The show runs approximately 2.5 hours with an interval. Please note the production contains mild language, mild physical violence, themes of drug use, strobing and haze. Under 3s will not be admitted.
Yes — we regularly host groups of 4 to 20 for pre-show dinners. For groups of 8 or more, contact us directly by phone or WhatsApp so we can arrange seating and timing to ensure everyone is at QPAC with time to spare.
