Best Times to Dine Outdoors

Thursday–Saturday Evenings
South Bank is at its best on weekday and Friday evenings — Little Stanley Street fills with pre-show diners, couples and groups. The outdoor terrace has the best atmosphere between 5:30pm and 8pm. Book early for these sessions.
Weekend Lunch
Saturday and Sunday lunch on the terrace is a Brisbane institution. Less rushed than dinner, perfect for a long meal with oysters, a seafood platter and a glass of white. From 11:30am Saturday, 7am Sunday for breakfast first.
Pre-Show Dining
If you have a show at QPAC, the terrace is the perfect setting for a pre-show meal — 2 minutes from the venue on foot. Book a 5:30–6pm sitting for an 8pm show. Request the terrace, mention your curtain time, and we'll pace the meal accordingly.

What to Order on the Terrace

To Start
Natural & Kilpatrick Oysters
Half dozen or full dozen. The quintessential outdoor dining order — cold, briny, best with a glass of sparkling or a crisp Riesling. Monday brings 50% off all oysters.
To Share
Seafood Feast Platter
Moreton Bay bugs, king prawns, scallops, oysters — takes over the table and defines the meal. Built for outdoor dining, built for sharing. Order as your main and let the kitchen do the work.
From the Grill
Char-Grilled King Prawns
Queensland tiger prawns, char-grilled with garlic butter. Simple food at its best. One of the most-ordered dishes on warm Brisbane evenings at the terrace table.
To Drink
Curated Wine by the Glass
Our drinks list is built for seafood — crisp whites, light rosé, and a small selection of reds for the char-grilled dishes. Ask your server for the current terrace pours.
